Hi, I'm Alysia
I’m a proud Bayside local with a history in advocacy across the not-for-profit, community and early childhood education sectors. We need to push for better outcomes for so much in Ivison Ward.
I’m an active member of our local community and was recently nominated for the 2024 Kingston Woman of the Year and Kingston Citizen of the Year Awards. I will advocate for affordable housing, and that planning decisions must consider social equity, ecological sustainability and public interest – including open space and biodiversity.
Facilities in Bayside require significant improvements to enable young people and people with disabilities to participate fully in our community. Our Council also has an important role in promoting reconciliation, by building strong relationships with the Traditional Custodians and advancing the Council’s Reconciliation Action Plan.
Many in our community are experiencing housing insecurity. I will fight for more social and affordable housing. Together, let’s champion climate action, increase green spaces and make all of Bayside a welcoming and inclusive place.
