A decade ago, I became the Greens’ first lower house MP elected at a general election. That day we sent a powerful message to Labor and the Liberals that people like you wanted progress.
The Greens went on to form a minority government with Labor and use our position to bring about positive change for the country. The only time pollution went down in Australia was when the Greens were in shared power.
In 2021 we can do it again.
We could be heading to the polls as early as August, and with such a finely balanced Parliament, it could be a rerun of the 2010 election. Shared power and transformative change is possible.
With just a small change in our vote, we can kick the Liberals out, put the Greens in shared power and push the next government to go further and faster on the climate crisis and tackling inequality.
Every day we’re up against the combined might of the major parties with their corporate donations and the constant fear-mongering from Murdoch media.
We’re the only party who doesn’t take money from corporations, our work is powered by our people-powered movement. We rely on donations from people like you.
Once again we’ll need to fight to keep Melbourne Green, and I’ll need your support. Will you join me today?
