Midsumma Pride March

Pride March is an annual event held both in celebration of Melbourne’s queer community as well as the continued fight for our equal rights and opportunities. It was inspired by the Stonewall Riots in New York in 1969, and the original Sydney Mardi Gras street protest of 1978. Today it features artists, performers and activists from across all corners of Melbourne’s queer community. Join the Greens as we march in solidarity with our queer members and allies!

Meet at Ian Johnson Oval, St Kilda. An accessibility marshalling tent is also provided at the start of the march, for those who wish to meet us there.

Remember to bring some water and appropriate sun protection.
