Join four Australian Greens Senators in Gladstone

We're stoked to have Senators Larissa Waters, Steph Hodgins-May, Pete Whish-Wilson & Penny Allman-Payne all heading to Gladstone for a special film screening and Q&A session afterwards.

Divers for Climate is a stunning 40-minute documentary exploring the untold stories of divers, tourism operators and Traditional Owners on the frontlines of our Great Barrier Reef.

Climate change is the most significant global threat to coral reef ecosystems. Earlier this year, another mass bleaching event occurred on the Great Barrier Reef. It was the sixth event since 2016. While it was less extensive than the bleaching event in 2024, it was the second time the Reef has experienced consecutive events (2016-2017 & 2024-2025).

It’s clear the only action that will safeguard the future of our Reef is an end to new coal and gas – and that is what the Greens will continue to fight for in parliament.

At this special event, four of the ten Australian Greens Senators will be here in person to tell us how.

Come along to hear from Larissa (Queensland), Penny (Queensland), Pete (Tasmania), and Steph (Victoria) as they bring us up to speed on these plans.

• There is no charge for this event
• Tasty finger food will be included
• Soft and alcoholic drinks will be available for sale - all proceeds will go to Gladstone & Callide Greens Branch to fund local campaign activities.
