Join Ellen Sandell and the community for the official launch of our campaign to keep the seat of Melbourne Green.

This is our chance to come together, celebrate what we’ve achieved, and officially kick off the campaign to re-elect Ellen Sandell as the Greens MP for Melbourne.

Since 2014, Ellen has been a strong voice for the people of Melbourne, fighting for renters, public housing, climate action, public education and integrity in politics. Through persistent campaigning and community organising, Ellen and the community have helped deliver real wins while standing up to the influence of big corporations and vested interests.

But there is much more to do. Our community is facing rising inequality, worsening cost-of-living pressures, a housing crisis, climate breakdown and the growing influence of right-wing politics.

The 2026 election will be a critical moment for Melbourne. Keeping Melbourne Green means keeping a strong, independent progressive voice in Parliament, one that will continue to put people and the planet ahead of corporate interests.

The Greens don’t take donations from fossil fuel corporations, property developers, gambling companies or big corporate lobby groups. Our campaigns are powered by volunteers and contributions from everyday people who want politics to work for people and the planet.
