Join us for a night of politics and pizza at The Pot Belly!

The fossil fuel-driven climate crisis is increasing the challenges people face. What is the science telling us? How are extreme bushfires changing? And how do we make Canberra and communities safer and more resilient?

Join us for our next Belco Politics at the Pub, featuring bushfire scientist Professor Jason Sharples and climate activist Amy Blain.

Professor Sharples is a Wahlabul Bundjalung man and internationally recognised authority on dynamic and extreme bushfire behaviour whose work has helped shape Australian bushfire policy and practice. Amy is a Canberra climate and community leader involved in the People's Climate Assembly, ACF Canberra Community and Electrify Canberra.

We'll talk about bushfire science, preparedness, climate action and what genuine community resilience could look like in Canberra.

Free pizza and chips will be provided, with drinks available at the bar. Please register to help us manage numbers.

Belco Politics at the Pub is open to everyone and takes place on the first Thursday of each month, from 6 – 8 pm.

By registering and or volunteering you agree with the ACT Greens Code of Conduct.
