Greens Bushwalking Club: October 11th Middle Head Forts

This track follows the coast and ridgeline from Balmoral Beach up to the historic Middle Head fortifications, and back.

• Date: Sunday 11 October 2026

• Time: 8:50AM for a 9:00AM start, finishing around 11:00AM

• What: Loop walk, 4km, from Balmoral Beach to the Middle Head forts and return

• Meet: Exact meeting point will be emailed to you after you RSVP

• Transport: The walk is accessible by public transport.

Come for a nice day out with views of Sydney Harbour, the history of the fortifications to explore at the top and the beautiful Balmoral Beach coastline.

After the walk, join the rally at Balmoral Beach from 11:00AM to 12:30PM. The Federal Government plans to sell the public harbour foreshore at Middle Head. We’ll be there to fight for public land to be kept in public hands.

This event is not wheelchair accessible as there are long, steep, and unpaved sections.

If you are under 18, your parent or guardian will need to contact the event organiser directly to let them know there will be someone under 18 attending.
