A community forum discussing how we fix Victoria's housing affordability crisis.

We believe everyone should have a safe, secure and affordable place to call home – that’s why we need to protect public housing.

Victoria is in the midst of a housing crisis, with 120,000 Victorians on the public housing waitlist and 30,000 people experiencing homelessness on any given night.

Public housing is crucial for housing affordability in Victoria. We can and need to protect it.

Join Leader of the Victorian Greens, Samantha Ratnam; the Member for Southern Metropolitan, Katherine Copsey, and community advocates as we consider the next steps of the protect public homes campaign.

From supporting the #SaveBarakBeacon campaign, to how we can push Labor to build more public housing instead of gifting it to property developers – come along and be part of the movement.

RSVP essential.

This is a free, relaxed and friendly event that is open to everyone - you don’t have to know anything about politics to come along!

Please note the venue is wheelchair accessible. Please let us know if you have any accessibility needs including Auslan interpretation.

This event is taking place of the land of the Traditional Owners. We acknowledge that sovereignty was never ceded and stand in solidarity with their calls for treaty, truth-telling and justice.
