Come talk to the community about the housing crisis and Labor's bill.

Labor has proposed a housing Bill that will make the housing crisis worse, cut funding to housing every year, does nothing for renters, and will see the shortage of social and affordable housing grow. The Greens are pushing for a national freeze on rent increases and $5 billion invested in social and affordable housing every year to fund the construction of hundreds of thousands of homes. But time is running out to pressure the government to come to the table.

We only have a few weeks until Labor will bring the bill to a vote in the Senate. In this time we have an important opportunity to ramp up the pressure on the government and show them that we need a housing bill that will actually start to tackle the problem.

We know that the Greens power in parliament is only as strong as our power in the community. We know that when we break outside our bubble and reach people where they’re at, we win. That’s why we’re setting an ambitious goal of 870 conversations with Victorians about housing and we’d love you to be part of it.

Even if you’ve never doorknocked before, we need you. Join us and we’ll give you all the information, skills and resources you need to start having conversations about how we can take real action on housing.
