Come get involved with the Cooper team to elect Tara Burnett! Listen to your local community and connect them with Green values while meeting other awesome volunteers just like you.

We’re running to win in Cooper this federal election. We only need about 1 in 12 voters to change their vote, and we can elect Tara to federal parliament.

The major parties might have their dirty coal and gas donors, but we have something much stronger - people power. We know that when we come together, there is nothing we can’t achieve. The Greens strength is our huge movement of volunteers, transforming politics by connecting with our neighbours at the door and on the phones.

About our candidate, Tara Burnett. Tara is a teacher, unionist, and Greens campaigner who has lived in rentals across the northern suburbs of Melbourne since moving to the city in 2017. She has been a member of the Greens since early 2012 and has been involved in the party’s campaigns as a volunteer, a campaign office bearer and a candidate over that time.

Tara is a committed ally for First Nations justice, she has led social media campaigns and worked to elevate and amplify First Nations voices. And as a proud trans woman, she has been on the thin end of the wedge for attacks from a coordinated far-right movement.

Together we can get Tara elected to represent our community!

Are you in?

Campaign nights are an opportunity to grow our movement and engage with other like-minded people! Support will be provided for new volunteers and upskilling.

Everyone is welcome. Bring a laptop and some headphones if you have some.

If we want change, the first step is electing people who actually represent us and our values - to do that, we need you!
