Darebin-Whittlesea Greens and friends contingent join the Yoorrook Justice Commission Walk for Truth

Join members of the Darebin-Whittlesea Greens and friends on day 25 of the Yoorrook Justice Commission Walk for Truth from the Shrine of Remembrance to Parliament House.

Important: As well as registering below, it is important that you also register with Yoorrook and get your free tickets for the walk here

Walking difficulty: Easy. Distance: Approximately 5 km. The final day of the Walk for Truth begins at the Shrine of Remembrance, where participants will be welcomed onto Bunurong Country before setting off along the Birrarung (Yarra) corridor. Before reaching the CBD,walkers will be formally welcomed onto Wurundjeri Country. Mid-morning, the walk pauses at Fitzroy Gardens to reflect at Cooks' Cottage, then continues through Parliament Gardens by the statues of Sir Doug and Aunty Gladys Nicholls, before gathering on the steps of Parliament House. After the ceremony, we’re invited to stay in the CBD for a community celebration at Federation Square later in the afternoon.

We welcome volunteers of all abilities, diversity of genders, sexual identities, racial backgrounds, cultures, languages and experiences to join and get involved.
