The Victorian Young Greens are organising a calling party, to bring young candidates & volunteers together, empower and train each other, and power the campaigns of our young candidates!! If you're new to making calls or not feeling up to it, we'll be organising some data entry, textbanking and other tasks, so you can come along as well to power the movement be part of the vibe!

With almost 30 candidates under 30 years old across the state for the Greens at this year's Victorian election, we'll be making calls for various campaigns to support them to fill their polling booths with volunteers, and finish off their letterboxing and doorknocking pushes, with only a few weeks until prepoll starts. If you have a candidate you're already really keen to support, great! We'll set you up to make calls for them. If not, we'll connect you with a campaign to power on the day!

This is a beginner-friendly calling party! There will be training for any newcomers as well a non-calling tasks to do, so if you or your mate are feeling a bit unsure, come on down and we'll find something that's right for you.

You'll get the chance to meet other young Greens, chat about campaigns across the state and share knowledge so we can all grow as campaigners and activists. You can always count on good vibes at VYG events!

Here's the rough time breakdown of the event:

11am - Doors Open

11:15am - Group Training for Effective Calls

12pm to 1pm - Calling Time!

1pm to 2pm - Lunch Break (Lunch provided by the VYG!)

2pm to 4pm - Calling Time!

Can't make the early training session? No worries at all, whenever you can come along when you can, and we'll make sure you feel fully ready before making any calls!

If you want to be a part of the day but cannot make it in person, let us know! We might try and set up a video chat party so you can still be connected to our efforts to power our young candidates and their campaigns!

Food will be vegetarian and vegan! Please let us know of any other dietary requirements so we can make sure you're catered for! Please RSVP and let us know if you're bringing mates along, so we can gauge the food required.
